The Martin Speake Jazz Duo brings together London-based jazz saxophonist Martin Speake and jazz pianist Will Butterworth at the Church venue for Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The 60-minute programme features original music by Martin, a premiere by Eddie McGuire — a new piece called Rhapsody for Dave, written in memory of Dave Blundell — plus standards and improvisations. Martin has recorded 30 albums including Change of Heart on the ECM label and has performed with leading jazz soloists. Will Butterworth developed his jazz in Edinburgh and now performs in London. Tickets are £15, suitable for ages 12 and over.
