Wylde Britain is a one-hour multimedia concert at Main Room at Edinburgh Festival Fringe, performed live by UK-charting bassoon soloist Laurence Perkins. The show is a musical journey from Shetland to Land's End, combining classical and traditional folk music with natural soundscapes in surround sound. Locations visited along the way include Loch Ness, Hadrian's Wall, Ireland, Snowdon in a Welsh winter, Robin Hood in Sherwood Forest, a Sussex woodland and a Cornish mermaid. Spoken legends are specially recorded by actors including Dame Judi Dench, Sir Derek Jacobi and Sandra Voe. The concert is a fundraiser for UK-Med, providing medical aid for war survivors in Ukraine.
