Identity Crisis Productions presents What Happens in the Dark, a farce at Upper Theatre (Round), Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The lights are "opposite" — what is dark to the characters is fully visible to the audience. When a burglar breaks into a married couple's home, long-buried secrets spill out. Over one chaotic night, the couple must outwit the intruder, maintain compounding lies and somehow save their marriage, all while navigating total darkness. Packed with physical comedy, mistaken identities and escalating mayhem, the 50-minute show runs from start to finish without a dull moment. Suitable for ages 14 and over.
