Best friends since primary school, Kate and Nadia hold tightly to their sacred monthly ritual of cheap wine and bad TV – a tradition born in their teens and clung to ever since. But as their mid-twenties loom, the cracks in both their lives and the tradition begin to spill open. Kate is afraid of moving forward. Nadia is afraid of falling behind. With three potential fathers and the clock ticking, this Friday is a little different from usual. Uncorked explores fertility, friendship and falling out of sync with your own life.

About the show

Ripple Theatre presents Uncorked, a dark comedy piece of new writing staged at The Saloon Bar. Best friends since primary school, Kate and Nadia have maintained a sacred monthly ritual of cheap wine and bad TV since their teens. As their mid-twenties approach, the cracks in both their lives and their tradition begin to spill open. Kate fears moving forward; Nadia fears falling behind. With three potential fathers in the picture and the clock ticking, one particular Friday changes everything. The play explores fertility, friendship and falling out of sync with your own life.

Why see this show?

A sharply observed two-hander about female friendship under pressure, Uncorked is honest, funny and unsettling in equal measure — the kind of new writing that catches you off guard with how much it gets right about life in your twenties.
