Book NowAbout the show
Tom Neenan is a BAFTA-nominated comedian and storyteller who began painting portraits in 2020. His show Portrait of a Tom as a Young Neenan draws on two invitations he received in 2024: one to a fancy wedding, and one to paint the portrait of an eighty-six-year-old man. Accepting both led him to revisit past failures and current worries ranging from body image to AI. Often hilarious and occasionally embarrassing, the show runs for 60 minutes at Bluebell and is suitable for ages 12 and over.
Why see this show?
A warm and disarmingly personal storytelling show. Tom Neenan turns the unlikely subject of portrait painting into a way into much bigger questions about ageing, failure and self-image — told with the kind of honest comedy that earns its laughs.
