About the show
The Unknown Soldier follows Jack, who stayed on when the guns fell silent after WWI to search the battlefields for the boys who could not go home — the dead and the missing, both enemy and friend. Amongst the rusty wire and unexploded bombs, Jack carries a promise to keep and a debt to repay, while also receiving a strange request from the generals. Produced by Grist to the Mill Productions, this drama of comradeship, betrayal and promises broken and kept runs 60 minutes at the Bubble and is suitable for audiences aged 14 and over.
Why see this show?
A quietly devastating piece of theatre set in the aftermath of WWI — Jack's search among the battlefields for those who could not go home is both intimate and haunting. Grist to the Mill Productions bring real craft to this story of comradeship and promise.
