The Skarsgård Effect is a devised comedy by Ellen Eklund about three ordinary sisters who stumble headfirst into the disorderly world of fame, transforming themselves from nobodies into global superstars through one lie. A comedy about hubris, nepotism and AI deepfakes, the show is built around the observation that a new member of the Skarsgård family appears to emerge every time you blink. It is described as a love-letter to the paradoxical world of the performing arts.
