About Shiplake College
The Red Shoes is a theatrical adaptation and storytelling piece from Shiplake College, set in the cutthroat world of a noughties fashion empire. A pair of red-hot shoes becomes the driving force behind a young girl's dazzling yet dangerous decline. As she navigates regret born of temptation and uncontrollable power, the shoes cling to her with a pulse of their own, tightening as she weakens. Each step thrusts her deeper into a labyrinth of vanity, manipulation and sacrifice, until she discovers that the most frightening thing is the price the shoes demand. Running 45 minutes, suitable for ages 12 and above.
