The Provocateurs present two academic talks in a single 60-minute show at Stand 4. Dr Bryony Buck from Edinburgh Napier University and the University of Dundee examines how divergent brains and bodies make even simple communication difficult, and explores possible ways to address this. Professor Kasey McCall-Smith from The University of Edinburgh then looks at how basic conditions such as bad breath, faulty lights and over-running privies degrade the dignity of people in detention — and why that matters.
