Book NowAbout The Provocateurs
The Provocateurs bring two spoken word presentations to Stand 2 at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. In the first, neurobiologist John Girgis of the University of Edinburgh examines memories being created under microscopes, asking how we should relate to our memories and whether we are merely the sum of what we can recall. In the second, Professor Kasey McCall-Smith, also of the University of Edinburgh, explores how seemingly minor indignities — bad breath, faulty lights, inadequate sanitation — unjustifiably degrade the lives of people held in detention.
Why see this show?
Two sharp academic minds tackle memory and human dignity in accessible, provocative talks — exactly the kind of unexpected programming that makes the Edinburgh Fringe worth exploring beyond the obvious.
