The Land Beneath Our Feet is a new play written and performed by poet Nathan Parker, presented by LeftCoast and Nathan Parker. Set on the last day before Blackpool is swallowed by the sea, it follows Ted, an old-timer with a big heart, as he recalls the stories and people who made his beloved community garden so special. Full of love, hope and heartbreak, the play celebrates community spirit while shining a light on the reality of climate change for seaside towns. It runs for 45 minutes at Theatre 1 and is suitable for audiences aged 12 and over.
Why see this show?
A tender, climate-conscious solo show rooted in a specific community and place. Nathan Parker's combination of poetry and performance makes this a moving and human response to a subject that can easily feel abstract.
