About the show
Theatre on the Blue presents this bold, imaginative adaptation of The Hobbit, authorised by Middle-earth Enterprises. Just six actors bring dozens of characters to life — including trolls, elves, goblins, eagles and Smaug the dragon — using movement, lights and shadows, puppetry and inventive staging. Bilbo Baggins leaves the comfort of the Shire and discovers courage he never knew he had. Fast-paced and funny, the production runs for 80 minutes and is suitable for audiences aged 8 and over.
