Death comes to us all. When he came to Mort, he offered him a job. Death, the Grim Reaper of Discworld, is a black-robed skeleton with a scythe, fond of cats and baffled by humanity. Curious to experience life, he hires Mort as his apprentice, offering room, board and use of the company horse – no dying required. It’s a dream job until Mort saves a princess instead of taking her soul, altering history. Now he must set things right before Death notices his mistake and restores the natural order.
