Hilary Michael and Richard Michael are a duo who bring together violin, saxophone and piano in a programme spanning contrasting musical eras. In Conversations: Baroque, Blue and Beyond, they draw on the music of JS Bach and Duke Ellington to explore what unites rather than separates these worlds. Faithful to the authentic styles of each genre, their set places improvisation at its core, inviting audiences into real-time musical dialogue rather than presenting polished performance from a distance.
