Sounds of St Cecilia's I: The Forgotten Baroque Traditions is an intimate, autobiographical recital by harpsichordist Kenneth Yeung at The Concert Room. Kenneth navigates early keyboard repertoire and personal memory, weaving together works by Cabezon, Frescobaldi, Froberger, Pasquini's partimento sonata, a compiled seventeenth-century French suite, and Bach's magnificent toccata. Interspersed is a new tombeau — an elegy for the Tai Po fire in Hong Kong — linking past practice with contemporary resonance. The programme surveys a wide range of national styles and improvisatory traditions, and runs for 60 minutes.
