Book NowAbout Wan Xing
Wan Xing, Gregor Black and Eleanor Dunsdon return to Edinburgh Festival Fringe with Sound Strokes, a vibrant intercultural programme at Amphitheatre. The expressive sound of the Chinese guzheng meets Scottish musical traditions, drawing inspiration from the painting of Qiu Yangzi. The music traces the natural forces that shape the art of writing — water, air and fire — exploring flowing lines, rhythm, balance and movement in sound. Through musical dialogue, the artists reveal resonances between Eastern and Western traditions, inviting audiences to experience the spirit of Chinese calligraphy through sound. The show runs for 45 minutes.
