About the show
Silent Disco is a new writing drama by Pique Theatre, performed at Turret. A musician and a psychologist meet — one a social butterfly, the other reserved and introspective — and a romance develops between these two neurodivergent young people. The audience wears headphones throughout, hearing every private thought and secret anxiety of both characters. The show is structured as two simultaneous halves: a tender narrative of the lives of neurodivergent young people, and an abstract, pre-recorded stream-of-consciousness broadcast directly into the ears of the audience. It runs for 60 minutes and is suitable for audiences aged 14 and over.
