About the show
Hand Theatre present a high-speed, highly physical clown show in which two performers are surprised by the audience and completely unprepared — and so grab the only story everyone knows: Romeo and Juliet. What begins as a funny mission to be understood turns into a wild whirlwind of imagination in which the audience becomes part of the chaos. As the laughter peaks, the fun turns into fierce rebellion. A provocative, heart-wrenching finale asks what remains among the ruins. The show is described as fearless, absurd and unforgettable.
Why see this show?
Two clowns, one story everyone knows, and an audience who become part of it — this is physical theatre at its most inventive. The shift from comedy to something rawer is what makes it stick.
