Reparations is a sixty-minute one-woman play by Maryam Garad and Pleasance, performed at Above. After serving three years in prison, Aisha sets out on a journey of self-healing, determined to cure her shoplifting addiction and leave old habits behind. But everything changes when she meets V, and admiration quickly turns into obsession. Aisha decides to steal a life — a new identity, status and security. The play comes direct from Soho Writers' Lab and explores rehabilitation, wealth disparity and how jealousy festers in the absence of love.
