About the show
DBN Productions present a political new-writing play centred on Nadica, a driven Macedon/Brit who finds herself at the ground floor of a fake news gold rush. Set against the backdrop of Brexit, Trump and a rising far right, the story traces how a few teenagers in a former socialist republic — one that even experts struggle to find on a map — came to reshape public trust across the globe. Nadica defies tech giants, Covid lockdowns and a crumbling economy in her bid to build an empire of lies. Running 60 minutes, age guidance 14 and over, with strong language throughout.
Why see this show?
A sharp political drama grounded in events that genuinely shook public trust. The story of how fake news was industrialised by unlikely actors makes for compelling, unsettling theatre.
