About Shakespeare's School
Devised and performed by Shakespeare's School, a student and youth company, Out Damned Traitor! imagines the great figures of Shakespeare's plays gathered at a Roundtable under the direction of Claudia Winkleman. Under the cover of Birnam Wood, loyalties unravel as the show blends Macbeth, other Shakespeare tragedies and satirical comedy into a night of poisoned chalices, blood-stained hands and final banishments. The show runs for 45 minutes at Space 2 and is suitable for audiences aged 12 and over.
Why see this show?
A witty, student-devised mashup of Shakespeare's darkest plays, reimagined as a backstage conspiracy thriller with a comic edge. Accessible, energetic and pleasingly irreverent, it is a smart choice for younger audiences and anyone who enjoys Shakespeare served with a twist.
