Opening: A Dessert Place is a stage adaptation inspired by Shakespeare's Macbeth, produced by NCUHS Drama Company. In this version, two high school seniors are plotting murder. Elizabeth, urged on by her best friend Mackenzie and the supernatural intervention of three restaurant servers, surrenders to what the show calls vaulting ambition and her bloodiest impulses. Like the Shakespeare play that inspired it, the story includes witchcraft and prophecy. The show runs for 35 minutes at theSpace @ Venue 45 and is priced at £7.
