Music & Murder By... is a new musical by Jessica Welsh and Wikus van der Hoven, performed at the Annexe. The plot centres on a writer's retreat that turns deadly when two collaborators decide the only way to save their show is to permanently remove their insufferable fellow writer — only for the scheme to spiral out of control when the victim's faded Broadway diva mother arrives with a sinister plan of her own. It is a musical comedy about creative desperation, murder plots, and what happens when everyone has something to hide.
