Lawrence of Arabia and ME is a solo spoken word show by Eamonn Gearon, an Oxford-trained historian who spent decades in the Middle East — living with Bedu, risking his neck and uncovering secrets Britain buried with Lawrence. Where Hollywood needed a cast of thousands, David Lean and seven Oscars, Gearon had a camel called Osama. History and comedy collide as he offers a sharper image of Lawrence: neither villain nor hero, but something more interesting. The show explores what was promised, what was broken, and what Lawrence might make of Peter O'Toole's performance. Running 50 minutes at Annexe, suitable for ages 12 and over.
