About Talking Shadows
Larkhill is a new piece by Talking Shadows exploring the stories of women who served in the Auxiliary Territorial Service during World War II, many of whom worked out of Larkhill in Wiltshire. The show draws on verbatim testimony and contemporaneous musical numbers to bring forgotten true stories to life. Over 250,000 young girls signed to the ATS, and this production honours their contribution and experience. It is performed at Space 1 at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, runs for 45 minutes, and carries an age guidance of 8+. Content warnings include distressing or potentially triggering themes.
