Kevin! [The Musical] is a dark comedy musical theatre show performed at Forest Theatre at Edinburgh Festival Fringe, written by Will Sharland and staged by the Kevin! [The Musical] Company. The show follows Kevin, an exchange student from England who travels to America hoping to discover what the USA is really like, only to find himself trapped inside the world of a cheesy high school musical. The world grows increasingly absurd and nightmarish the longer he stays, and Kevin is left uncertain whether everyone around him is crazy — or whether it might be him. The show runs for 120 minutes and tickets start from £8.
Why see this show?
A dark, funny and genuinely strange musical that uses the high school show format to satirise American culture and the experience of feeling like an outsider. Ambitious in scope and bold in subject matter, it is one of the more distinctive musicals at this year's Fringe.
