Matt Holborn on violin, Fraser Urquhart on piano and Edinburgh-based bassist Ed Kelly present a trio set drawn from the roots of American song and the early language of jazz. The programme moves from traditional melodies and spirituals to favourites from the Great American Songbook, with melody, storytelling and swing at its centre. The set also features music from Holborn's album For Stuff, described by Jazzwise as a delightful album shedding sunlight on a rather neglected patch of jazz.
