About the show

Introductions is a new musical comedy by Marnie and Martin Productions, performed at the Lower Hall. Dylan has finally found the perfect woman — the only problem is he doesn't share her politics. Desperate to avoid losing her, he adopts her political beliefs as his own. But as he's introduced to her friends, family and all their expectations, the gap between who he is and who he pretends to be widens. As the deception grows deeper, he must decide if he can keep up the act or if the truth must come out. This audacious musical comedy about relationships, performative identity and the compromises we make for connection runs for 75 minutes. Tickets are £14, suitable for ages 16 and over.

Why see this show?

A musical comedy with a premise that keeps escalating — the further Dylan embeds himself in a relationship built on a political lie, the funnier and more uncomfortable it gets. Smart writing about identity and connection, delivered with comedy and a live score.
