In 1541, Marguerite de la Rocque embarked on the adventure of a lifetime: to be one of the French noblewomen to colonize the land that is now Canada. Strong-willed and self-assured, the prospect of being free from the rigid life of nobility is thrilling. But when her secret affair is brought to light, Marguerite finds herself doomed: exiled, unwed and with child, to the Island of Demons. Witness her story of survival as Marguerite discovers the One who can save her from the constant darkness and bring her Into the Light.
