Holmes and Watson: Rathbone and Bruce (and a Hound) is a historical comedy theatre piece from Searchlight Theatre Company, performed at Gorgie and Palmerston Place Church on Palmerston Place over 65 minutes. Set on the set of The Hound of the Baskervilles in 1939, the show follows Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce as they tackle the mystery and the ups and downs of playing the famous Baker Street sleuths for the first time. They became firm friends on and off set, whilst becoming synonymous with playing Sherlock and Watson. A wonderfully evocative piece with music and songs from the era. Suitable for ages 8 and over.
