Google Dancing Salmon ProductionsAbout the show
Dancing Salmon Productions is a semi-professional company bringing Shakespeare's most famous tragedy to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with a twist. In Hamlet: The Musical, Claudius has killed Hamlet's father, married his mother and seized the throne — and Hamlet's outrage is channelled through parody songs drawing on artists from Sinatra and Spears to ABBA, Gaga, Queen and Wicked. The result is a 60-minute romp of cleverly stupid parodies, riotous comedy and tatty cardboard props, pitched as accessible fun for the whole family.
Why see this show?
If you want Shakespeare served loud, fast and gloriously silly, this is the show. A riotous collision of pop culture and classic tragedy performed with cardboard props and shameless energy — something truly rockin' in the state of Denmark, and perfectly pitched for audiences aged 8 and up.
