Lindsey Barlag Thornton brings this solo performance to Edinburgh following its premiere at Steppenwolf Theatre. Drawing from the history of women aviators and spiritualists, the piece layers movement, text, sound and imagery with analogue devices to explore our longing for ascension. Archives, dances and confessions arise, all supported by a cassette player's soundtrack. As lo-fi intimacy collides with a séance, the performance charts a course between faith and uncertainty, where the body becomes both aircraft and altar. The show runs for 60 minutes at Playground 1, is family-friendly and suitable for ages 8 and over.
