Edinburgh Wind Serenades, conducted and arranged by Laurence Perkins, presents 50 minutes of classical music at Canongate Kirk on the Royal Mile. The programme features an Overture in three movements by Thomas Erskine — known as The Edinburgh Mozart — and Introduction and Allegro by Sir Edward Elgar — The Worcestershire Lad. Performed by an advanced-level amateur ensemble of woodwinds and horns, the concert also supports UK-Med, which provides medical aid to survivors in Ukraine and other war zones and natural disasters.
