Dane Buckley: Darling
Off The Kerb Productions • Professional company
About the show
Dane Buckley delivers his debut stand-up hour about Irish mammies, Indian grannies and his archenemy the parish priest. The world's only Irish, Indian, gay comedian (probably) brings cheeky, camp mischief and an ode to butter to the Fringe stage. The show draws on Buckley's background as a tour support act for a number of well-known comedians and his appearances on Channel 4, BBC One and Comedy Central, channelling personal family stories into sharp, playful stand-up.
Why see this show?
Charming, camp and rooted in real family life — Buckley's debut hour sounds warm and genuinely funny rather than just trying hard to be. The combination of Irish and Indian heritage gives the material a fresh angle.
