Book NowAbout the show
Sectioned – Schrödinger's Mental Health is a free spoken word and poetry show by Poppy Radcliffe at the Little Cellar. Combining poetry, filmmaking and dramatic lecture, Poppy draws on frank stories from the wards to question what we think we know about inpatient mental health care. The central question — 'Am I ill, or am I well? Because I surely can't be both' — drives a performance that exposes what happens when services get it wrong. The show addresses increasing deaths in hospitals and asks whether change is possible.
Why see this show?
Radcliffe brings blistering poetry and raw personal testimony to a subject that rarely gets this kind of unflinching treatment. It is confronting and compassionate in equal measure — a genuinely urgent piece of spoken word theatre that earns its difficult content.
