Theatre Paradok presents Countdown, a play following Kelvin, a young and idealistic educator struggling to navigate the daily challenges of teaching. Written from personal experience, it exposes what teachers go through on a daily basis and challenges the stigma surrounding discourse on teachers' mental health. The show highlights the lack of support that teachers receive and marks the fine line between dedication and burnout — a stark reminder that teachers are, at the end of the day, only human. Contrary to popular belief, it says, teaching is not a calling.
