Cheryl was a big hit at the 1991 Fringe and Attila and Otway thought we'd revive it for its 35th anniversary. An everyday tale of Satanism, trainspotting, drug abuse and unrequited love set on a station platform. Based, of course, on Otway's show-stopping song Cheryl's Going Home. Why is she going home – to Slough of all places – and who's her horny friend Billy? Attila knows. He spills the beans in stentorian Chaucerian verse. Otway responds with a series of ever more pathetic excuses in song. Then MC Trainspotter turns up...

About the show

Attila the Stockbroker and John Otway revive their rock opera for its thirty-fifth anniversary, first performed at the 1991 Fringe. An everyday tale of Satanism, trainspotting, drug abuse and unrequited love set on a station platform, based on Otway's song Cheryl's Going Home. Attila narrates in stentorian Chaucerian verse while Otway responds in song, and the mysterious MC Trainspotter also makes an appearance. A free event at the Back Cave, running 60 minutes. Age guidance 18+.
