About Nightpiece Media
Nightpiece Media presents But The Main News Tonight at the Amphitheatre — the twenty-sixth independent feature film from director Al Carretta, and the opening presentation of the thirteenth Nightpiece Film Festival. An insightful social drama in which a naive cleaner unwittingly films malpractice on a hospital ward; years later the recording's revelations come to light. Inspired by the evolution of consumer digital camera technology from the late nineteen-eighties to the late two-thousands, the film is cheaper to deliver than a live Fringe stage play. Carretta has been premiering new works in Edinburgh since his 2001 debut. Runs 80 minutes.
Why see this show?
A social drama about accidental whistleblowing and delayed revelation, presented as a feature film at the Fringe. Al Carretta's hybrid production approach makes it something different from a standard stage show — lean, direct, and grounded in a real-world scenario.
