About Leitheatre
Brassed Off is Leitheatre's production of the story set ten years after the 1984 miner's strike, when a community faces the closure of its pit and the loss of its brass band. Set in Fife and featuring live music from Lochgelly Band, this moving and often funny play shows the value of solidarity and friendship and the power of music. Based on the iconic 1996 film, it is as relevant today as it was then.
