About Bluebell Swing
Bluebell Swing are a five-piece ensemble presenting an evening of rhythm and romance at Valvona & Crolla during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Inspired by the timeless spirit of Django Reinhardt and the golden age of swing, the band transports audiences to the thirties. Maria Townsley leads on vocals, moving from smoky ballads to upbeat swing. Dick Lee colours the sound on clarinet, while guitarists Iain McNally and Ronan Toal deliver driving rhythm and sparkling solos. Steve Jack anchors the ensemble on double bass. Running 60 minutes, suitable for ages 12 and over.
