Badgers is a shape-shifting new show from Theatre Royal Plymouth in association with Bristol Old Vic, the team behind Outlier. Written by Malaika Kegode with music by Jakabol, the piece follows Meles, a podcaster with a dying mother and a stalling career, who stumbles into an unfathomable mystery involving a recluse, a disappearance and a folk song. Part folk tale about folk tales, it explores the ethics of true crime and the art of letting go. It runs for 70 minutes at Traverse 2 and is suitable for ages 12 and above.
Why see this show?
A mercurial blend of music, spoken word and folk storytelling that asks uncomfortable questions about who owns a story. From the company behind Outlier, it is thoughtful, atmospheric and unlike most things at the Fringe.
