About TheatreOCU
TheatreOCU, a student and youth company, presents Bad Shakespeare — an exploration of nature versus nurture through some of Shakespeare's most villainous characters. Macbeth, Iago, Aaron, Tamora, and Lady Macbeth are each examined with one central question: are villains born or bred, and can they ever find true redemption? The show asks what makes a character truly bad and whether Shakespeare himself had the answer.
Why see this show?
A student company takes on Shakespeare's darkest cast and asks whether evil is made or inherited. Thought-provoking and dramatically rich — good for younger audiences ready to grapple with moral complexity.
