Babyface is a solo physical theatre show written and performed by Nick Tipa (Kaai Tahu), presented at The Vault and running for 55 minutes. Part stage play and part wrestling show, it explores one boy's experience of growing up, fitting in and landing a suplex in rural Aotearoa. The show debuted at the Dunedin Fringe Festival and took home multiple awards including the UNESCO City of Literature Beyond Words award. Two characters, Whiplash and Kahu, arrive in Edinburgh to continue the story. Audiences are invited to bring signs and wear their favourite wrestling T-shirts. Suitable for ages 12 and over.
