Asian, But Wrong
Ting Lim / Free Festival • Amateur Company
About the show
Asian, But Wrong is a solo stand-up show by Ting Lim, presented by Ting Lim / Free Festival at The Wee Room. Singaporean-born and Australia-based, Ting Lim makes her Edinburgh Fringe debut unpacking what it means to grow up in an unorthodox family and never quite fitting anywhere. Caught between strict Singaporean rules, Malaysian chaos and Australian life, she navigates relationships, expectations and the quiet absurdity of belonging nowhere in particular. Smart, dark and incisive without being preachy — comedy that finds humour in the uncomfortable space between where you are from and where you are now.
Why see this show?
A Fringe debut from a comedian with a genuinely distinctive vantage point — three cultures, none of them fitting quite right. Ting Lim is sharp, grounded and funny without needing to shout about it.
