A new hour of stand up comedy from Chortle's Student Comedian of the Year (11 years ago). As an ambitious young stand-up, a Pleasance Fringe run felt like the start of something great, but all these years on, missed opportunities feel like they outnumber the successes, and a question hangs in the air, stubbornly growing with each passing birthday, 'have I wasted my life?' So he's back to decide, in the same room as before. Only this time, instead of a kooky young upstart, he's a middle-aged eccentric man.

About Andy Field

Andy Field is a stand-up comedian bringing a new hour of comedy to the Cellar at Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The show reckons with the passage of time: once an ambitious young upstart who saw a Pleasance Fringe run as the beginning of something great, he now confronts a growing feeling that missed opportunities may outnumber the successes. With the question 'have I wasted my life?' hanging in the air, he returns to the same room to make a verdict — this time as a middle-aged eccentric man rather than a kooky young upstart.

Why see this show?

A sharp, self-aware hour that uses stand-up comedy to wrestle honestly with ambition, regret and the stubbornly persistent question of whether any of it was worth it. Warm, wry and recognisably human.
