About Anne Martin
An Tinne is a music and storytelling show from Anne Martin, performed at Theatre 2 as part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2026. Anne is from the Isle of Skye and has sung all her life. In 2024 she was inducted into the Scottish Traditional Music Hall of Fame, recognising her status in Gaelic song and performance. An Tinne tells the true story of the Macpherson family, cleared in 1875 to Australia — inspired by the slabhraidh, a cooking pot chain they carried and still cared for by their descendants. Through song and spoken word, the show links past and present, Scottish Gael and indigenous Australians. Running for 45 minutes and suitable for those aged 12 and over.
