About the show
After Winter is a new original musical by Beyond Words Theatre, performed in Mandarin with English surtitles at Space 3 as part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. When a family crisis pushes former housewife Cheng Yuan back into work, she discovers independence, ambition and a life she was never meant to have. But as her husband's promotion threatens to uproot everything, she must decide whether stability is worth self-erasure. Through live vocals and intimate storytelling, the show examines marriage, gender roles and the quiet negotiations women make every day. Suitable for audiences aged 8 and over.
