About Matilde Vigna
Written and performed by Matilde Vigna, this solo monologue weaves together two stories of uprooting. In autumn 1951, catastrophic flooding causes the Po River to burst its banks and swamp the Polesine area, forcing people to flee with no time to choose what to take. In autumn 2021, a woman moving house for the umpteenth time decides to take everything with her. The two tragedies intertwine in an exploration of deliberate and unintentional displacement, and the big and small events that change our lives. The show runs for 60 minutes at Playground 3 and is suitable for audiences aged 5 and over.
