About the show
Balancing Act Theatre presents Where Were You? at the Upper Theatre (Round) as part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Eight years after graduation, a group of high school friends reunite for a booze-filled trip down memory lane. As laughter fades, the play becomes an exploration of masculinity — how young men of this generation communicate, feel and express love. The show challenges contemporary assumptions about masculinity and confronts the idea of it as inherently toxic, inviting audiences to reflect on evolving notions of male friendship and the vulnerability behind the bravado. Runs 60 minutes; suitable for ages 16 and over. Contains references to suicide, substance abuse and brief physical confrontation.
