Through movement, hand-knitted costume and visual metaphor, Weaving Me, Weaving Mum tells an intimate story of female growth, trauma and reconciliation, drawn from the director’s personal experience across generations. Created by Yuqiu, a playwright, director and textile-based artist, this compelling piece crafts a deeply emotional narrative through fabric, memory and movement. Produced by The Great Her, a female-led collective founded by Jiayi Chen. ‘It left me in tears’ (Audience Review). The 2025 edition introduces new handmade costumes and a cross-cultural female cast.
